We are happy to announce the inaugural Carolinas Migration Conference, hosted by the Center for Migration and Diaspora Studies at UNC Charlotte and the Migration Lab at the University of South Carolina. This interdisciplinary conference will provide an opportunity for faculty and students from both institutions to learn about one another’s scholarship with a view toward deepening connections and promoting collaborations. The conference will include time for presentations, networking, and brainstorming.
We invite individual and collaborative proposals on diverse topics related to contemporary migration patterns, processes, and politics. Presentations can be theoretical, empirical, and/or community-engaged and can be domestic or international in focus. If you are interested in presenting or participating in the 2025 Carolinas Migration Conference, please use this form to submit your information by December 15, 2024.
